In the quiet suburbs, where the sounds of kids playing and dogs barking fill the air, there's a covert war raging on. Two neighbours, who once were as thick as thieves, now engage in a daily struggle for ultimate dominance, and the weapon of choice? Palm fronds.
You heard it right. Palm fronds. Those bloody leaves that fall from the trees and clog up the lawn, have become a badge of power and control. It all started with a simple act of neighbourliness. One neighbour would chuck a frond into the other's yard as a friendly nudge to clean up. But little did they know, this little jester would ignite a fiery rivalry that's lasted for years.
The first neighbour, who we'll call "Frond-thrower A", saw this as a chance to establish dominance and began to strategically place fronds in their neighbour's yard. "Frond-thrower B", who was caught with their pants down, soon cottoned on and countered with a bigger barrage of fronds.

This tit-for-tat battle escalated quicker than a bushfire, with both neighbours trying to outdo each other by chucking bigger and more numerous fronds into each other's yards. They even went as far as to build elaborate gizmos to launch fronds from a distance, all in a bid to assert their dominance.
The neighbours, who were once friendly, now avoid each other and communicate solely through fronds. The local community has taken notice of this strange behaviour, and many have tried to intervene, but to no avail. The neighbours remain steadfast in their determination to win the battle of the lawns.
In conclusion, even though this story it complete bollocks and made up, it serves as a cautionary tale of how something as small as a palm frond can escalate into a full-blown power struggle. It's a reminder to always be mindful of our actions, as they may have unintended consequences. And to the neighbours, we say this: put down the fronds and make peace. Your lawns will thank you.
