We couldn't be more stoked to introduce The Better Bloke Project, a new charity that grew out of Blokes Advice, one of Australia's biggest groups for guys. We’re all about taking the good vibes from our online chats and turning them into real, helpful stuff for blokes everywhere.
We think it’s really important for guys to look after themselves first. Why? Because when you’re feeling good, you’re better at helping and caring for the people around you. Our charity is run by regular guys (seriously, we're average as they come) who understand the everyday stuff we all go through.
Last year was tough—over 2,500 men in Australia lost their lives to suicide. That’s twice as many as the number of people who die in car accidents each year. It’s a big problem, and it tells us we need to do something different.
The Better Bloke Project isn’t just another mental health charity. We’re all about showing the positive side of things and building a community where guys can share their challenges and support each other. We will be hosting free events where you can meet experts in family law, mental health, money management, and more. We’ve also got training for workplaces and loads of online stuff to make sure help is always there when you need it.
We have to take a moment to thank you blokes, the member of BA. Everyone who gave your support with the comments, likes and shares, and especially everyone who unknowingly supported this process by buying our merch, you can take a little pride in helping the bloke out there who need it.
